About City, Country, and Coast.

Welcome to City, Country, and Coast! If you’re a fan of interior design and architecture and are looking for how to bring out your unique story with an elevated design, this is the place for you. Maybe you're tired of all the somewhat homogeneous style tips all over the internet or have opinions but feel lost in your own design decision-making process. Better still, maybe you are looking for ways that your interior design plans can help create more connections, experiences, and memories. Designers, DIYers, design optimists, preservationists – I’m excited you’re here.

Here at CCC, I believe elevated interior design is truly about reflecting your unique story while creating more connections, experiences, and memories. The beauty of nature and the human spirit lives at the heart of all my work. My guiding design principles are:

  • Every space can be elevated to celebrate connection, craft experiences, and leave long-lasting memories.

  • Quality design solutions can benefit us in several ways – physically and emotionally.

  • Preservation can exist even in spaces where a functionality needs to be modernized.

  • Functionality can be layered with any style -- elevated and intentional.

  • Telling your unique story should be the basis for your interior design projects.

If these resonate with you – fantastic – and you’ll hopefully enjoy the content on the blog!

Why did CCC get started?

There’s such a deep appreciation for design in the world right now that's unprecedented and incredible. With CCC, I wanted to share my opinions on what makes for elevated designs and more functionality - especially now as so much of design work looks the same on social media, technology is being introduced in new ways, and many feel high-end (dare I say luxury) interior designers are expensive. CCC aims to get back to what design is supposed to do for us: enhance the quality of our lives and our experiences with your style driving the direction.

I'm Florence, an interior and exhibit designer with a cross-disciplinary perspective. I have a Master's in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and a BA in English Literature from the University of Vermont. I was raised around my family’s construction company in Boston, MA (where I still live today), honing an eye for quality craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for nature, history, and context.
